Our Goal

Why

ATG Vintage Amplification has a single goal and that is to provide the serious musician, both the professional or amateur, with the tone and features they want. ATG handcrafts amplifiers the old-fashioned way, with a care to detail, the use of the best components available and quality control second to none. We handcraft our amplifiers in the Gold Country of California. We offer reproductions of the venerable classics produced by Fender, Marshall and the multitude of manufacturers from the 1950s through the 1980s. But we offer many amplifiers that are tailored to the requirements of the individual musician’s requirements.

Our cabinets are sourced from a company based in the United States; our chassis are also produced in the United States. The transformers used are produced in the United States from such manufacturers as Mercury magnetics, Pacific and Soursound. The suppliers of our components include Dale, IRC, Bourns, Ohmite, Vishay, Sprague, Kendrick, F&T. Sozo and Nichicon to name a few.  Component boards are glass epoxy and wire manufactures including Beldon, Remington Industries and Alpha to name a few. ATG Vintage Amplification typically uses speakers from Celestion, Weber, Fane, Kendricks, WGS, Eminence, JBL, Electro-Voice to name a few. ATG built amplifiers are provided the Preferred Series of vacuum tubes, but all other brands are available at the customer’s request.

As well as the design and construction of new customized amplifiers we also repair, modify and restore all guitar, harp and bass amplifiers including vintage PA amplifiers. ATG will provide the modifications requested to amplifiers. Our technical staff has a combined 50 years of experience in this field.
