The Baby Blue

$100.00

The Baby Blue amplifier that we offer was based on the Marshall 1974 (that was built by Marshall for Eric Clapton) with a bit of VOX influence. The Marshall 18W Bluesbreaker type amplifier is often considered to be a lower wattage version of the iconic Marshall JTM45 “Bluesbreaker” amplifier. It is said that it resembles the circuit of the old Watkins Westminster amplifier.

This is a hardwired amplifier that uses a G10 board for component mounting. A pair of Mercury Magnetic transformers based on the original Radiospares transformers. This amplifier comes with a FANE A30 12” speaker that provides a very sweet sound. This is a 2-channel amplifier that will produce harmonically pleasing tones with excellent articulation. This amplifier uses 3 x ECC83s in preamp, 1 EZ81 rectifier and 2 x EL84s in power amp. The amp features two channels with a Tremolo circuit on Channel 2. Each channel offers two inputs plus volume and tone controls. Channel 2 also has Speed and Depth controls for the Tremolo.
